edgewood court. it happened around 10:00, just about an hour ago. the lincoln town car that you see right there on the left of your screen is the striking vehicle we're told. and you can see an overturned infant stroller in the middle of the street. three people rushed to jersey shore medical center. we do not known their conditions but we will update you on the breaking story in lakewood, new jersey as we get more information. and we're following late-breaking developments tonight in a disturbing story we told you about earlier this evening. a funeral home under investigation with bodies left decomposing when they should have been embalmed. and allegations that the site was operating unlicensed. late tonight the philadelphia police moved in to execute a search warrant at the hawkins funeral services. line at the scene on vine street is dann cuellar with more. >> rick, investigators just

finished removing all three bodies from the hawkins funeral home and also the man in the coffin. it turns out he was also decomposing as he was not embalmed properly. and they removed a bag of human organs they found on the premise. the police are questioning the funeral director and his business partner. it seems one is already trying to throw the other under thes bus. it all began with a tip call to the state investigators finding the deplorable witness at 53rd and vine. it was operating without a license. even worse, found three bodies. one embalmed in a casket and other bodies decomposing. >> the bodies under the state regulation have to be embalmed within 24 hours or refrigerated under 40 degrees. no refridge ration here. >> and the proprietor brought in

a funeral districtor hoping to save the business, saying he was out ever town when it went on. >> the rules and regulations are clear about how long a body can be kept out of refridge ration. -- refrigeration. >> it -- did he not know or understand it >> my understanding he did know is. >> and he said he had no idea who the man in the body bag is or how it got here. >> the third body in the body bag that is also decomposing. >> last week the police responded to an unlicensed funeral parlor in strawberry mansion and three bodies rotting in the garage. and the police say they were operating without a license since 2012. and another funeral parlor offered to give a proper burile to the bodies and it turns out they were also operating without a license since 2012. and mr. gaither feels bad for the families of the bodies found

week and he is facing a long list of charges. a 59-year-old man facing charges in a hit and run killing an off-duty police officer. officer lamar poole driving his motorcycle home from work yesterday morning when he was hit by a car in northeast philadelphia. he later died at the hospital. they believe that louis vogwill was driving drunk at the time. according to police, vogwill got out of his car after the accident, saw officer poole on the ground and then tried to flee. a montgomery county lawyer will need his own defense attorney after finding himself on the wrong side of the law tonight. the police in the montgomery county district attorney arrested 56-year-old lawyer, vincent cirillo, jr. on charges of rape, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse and other assault charges. and a client claims cirillo took advantage of her on august 3. the criminal complaint alleges that he also took several photos of the victim naked and unconscious. and he waived his preliminary tear hearing and free on

$100,000 bail. more gun violence in the gray ferry section deadly tonight. two people shot along the 1500 block around 5:50 this evening. a 37-year-old man was killed and a 28-year-old man shot in the back and is now treated at the hospital. the authorities have not identified a suspect, nor determined a motive in this deadly shooting. in camden, in 10 days this month there were four murders. but a new push in the community to stop the violence. camden one love held an event across from camden high school. the organization's goal is to bring together local non-profits, church groups and local leaders to create positive change. the state of philadelphia says the law equipping police with narcan is a lifesaver.

more details are emerging tonight about the murder of a texas deputy. it comes as the suspect, shannon miles, appeared in court today. miles accused of murdering deputy darren goforth late friday night at a gas station. it appears that goforth was only a target because he was in law enforcement. police say they were able to track down miles based on the red truck they found on surveillance cameras. police also say they found the gun that was used. >> the gun holds 14 in its magazine and one in the chamber. 15 cell cases, you can do the math. he unloaded the entire pistol into deputy goforth. >> miles held without bond and faces chapter murder charges. and deputy darren goforth remembered as a family man and a

deputy dedicated to his job. family and friends gathered to remember the camera man killed last week in virginia. adam ward's memorial held at his high school in salem. visitors wore the colors of ward's favorite sports team, virginia tech university where he graduated in 2011. ward and reporter alison parker were shot and killed on live tv wednesday morning. the gunman, vester flanagan later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. north america's tallest mountain again called denali. and president obama restored the name of mount mckinley and many in alaska are glad it is called for its original name. named for william mckinley, and many in the hometown of ohio are not happy with a change, saying it is an insult to his political legacy. the president is in alaska for a three-day conference to be focused on climate change. >> we do nothing, temperatures
